Phillies take day off, prepare for Wednesday
Chase Utley and the Phillies will take Tuesday off, and prepare for Tim Redding and the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. Chase has only faced Mr. Redding 6 times, but has come away with 3 hits, including a homerun and a double, with two rbi’s.
Hope Chase can continue that on Wednesday!
Utley two hits/two rbi’s, Phils fall
Despite Chase Utley going 2-3, with two runs scored and two runs batted in, the Phillies were downed by the 2-0 Washington Nationals 11-6 on Monday. Chase got things started with a sac fly in the first, and then also homered deep in the 6th inning. The game was tied going into the top of the 9th, and that was where Tom “Flash” Gordon gave up 5 runs, on 4 hits to take the loss and drop to 0-1 on the season.
